Antibiotics 3: Glycopeptides (Vancomycin)

This is the third video in our series on antibiotics and their actions. In this video we look at glycopeptides, using Vancomycin as an example. We look at it's mechanism of action, why we use it, and how resistance is developed to it. As part of this discussion we''ll also look at Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci (VRE) and Vancomycin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
