**CORRECTION: The dates in the graphic for the phone calls are incorrectly listed as April 4 and 5. Both calls took place on those respective dates in May.

Red Lines host Anya Parampil shares her brief conversation with Silvercorp USA CEO Jordan Goudreau, who recently took responsibility for leading a failed invasion of Venezuela. The operation resulted in the deaths of at least 8 of his men, and the arrests of dozens of others, including two US Green Berets. Next, you'll hear her longer discussion with Silvercorp's COO, Drew White, a close friend of Goudreau. He reveals Goudreau repeatedly claimed to have a State Department contract for the operation, though he did not take the claim seriously. So, what did the State Department know about Silvercorp's activities? Anya connects the dots, explaining why it's possible knowledge of the operation went all the way up to Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

The COO seems to be playing the fool when he knew exactly what was happening. Remember he profits in this business.

Excellent report. No way the USA did not know what was going on at some level.
Odds on Pompeo knew.

Imagine a former Iranian military just nonchalantly talking about how he turned down a foreign coup attempt with his former Hezbollah buds. He didn't wanna do it because the contract didn't seem legit, not because of the foreign coup part. I wonder if they'd get away with that, or if there would be bombs thrown. 🤔

Goodrow is a logical trained man, he would not have gone ahead with this as a solo op as that would indeed be batshit and illogical, my guess is he had US backing and perhaps other assets maybe on the boarders or within Ven were going to help but something happened and they were cut loose. Plausible deniability.

Which we all know is completely fucking implausible. I mean if there was no involvement from the USA then how the hell is this unknown soldier suddenly put into contact with the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, I doubt they met in a bar by accident...
