Underrated Lake Sevan | Hayravank Monastery | This Is ARMENIA 🇦🇲

Sevan city here in Armenia is super underrated 🇦🇲

Not sure why but it seems most tourists stay in fancy resorts around Lake Sevan, we're not too into this so we stayed in a great little hotel on the outskirts of town and spent a few days exploring the overlooked Sevan city.

It's small but genuinely a really interesting place complete with super friendly locals as always here in Armenia.

We walked all the way to the other side of town seeing the soviet past, super old houses, beautiful churches and also the genocide monument here.

We had a bad experience hitchhiking to Hayravank Monastery, which was incredibly beautiful and we spent quite a while taking the scenery in.

Then we hitchiked back to town with a legend in a big red truck.

We stumbled across a bloke doing the most impressive hand tapped work ever on gravestones aswell as doing pieces of art based on Armenian churches etc etc you'll see.

This is sadly our last video here in Armenia we've spent over a month in this incredible country and feeling pretty sad to be leaving to be honest it's one of the most Underrated places we've ever travelled.

Complete with the friendliest people and immense hospitality we will miss it here.

This is precisely why you should abandon those expensive resorts and / or hotels and go off the beaten track for a more authentic, unique experience. Great adventure you two!

Great video to end your Armenia visit. Armenia is an under the radar destination because it is not overly commercialized. Who knows what it will look like in the future but hopefully it doesn’t change much. Commercialization ruins the character of everything. And wouldn’t worry too much about the overcharged ride. Going to get a bad apple eventually from an otherwise great harvested tree. Wonderful job and looking forward to your next adventures.
