Review Polar Breakaway Insulated Water Bottle vs CamelBak Podium Chill Water Bottle Comparison

preview_player
Показать описание
In my comparison test the Polar Insulated Water Bottle beat out the CamelBak Podium Chill by a small margin. But the real difference is in the superior cap in the Polar Breakaway which requires no hands to lock or unlock. The CamelBak requires using both hands to unlock the cap. Both bottles should fit well in most water bottle cages. I've never had either bottle vibrate out of a cage.

Both bottles are priced around $15.00

Great review straight to the point and simple and covers the facts that matter.

Perfect. The exact two bottles I was trying to decide between! I thought only the camels had that jet valve. Yay!

I just got two Polar bottles in 24 oz. I’ve used Camelback Podium as well. My problem with the Podium is leaking valve. If they aren’t transported upright there is sticky goo on my floor mats. Rubber so they’re okay but still. Further, while riding if you shake the bottle to mix powders it will spray. Summer is coming on strong so I’ve started freezing one bottle and filling the second with ice cubes. The frozen one stays cold for several hours in direct sunlight. The camelback valves get nasty with what looks like mold. That’s the final straw (pun intended) pushing me to try something else. Polar valves are very easy to dissemble. We’ll soon see how they compare in real world daily use. Thank’s for your vid.

Camel bak bottles are difficult to clean the nozzles ... how’s the polar bottle when cleaning the valve...excellent review, love the fact that it’s made in the U.S :)

Just bought 2 of them for the upcoming cycling season...glad to see they work like I was hoping. Thanks for your time and efforts! I too had the older style Polar Bottle.

Have you compared the Camelbak Ice to the Polar Breakaway? It is supposed to keep liquids cooler longer than the Chill.

I would like to see the same test but with chilled water to see how much it heats up in an hour!

Juan Martinez has a VS review and in his test of insulation the Camelback wins by a bigger margin, the Polar bottle was completely thawed and the Camelback still had ice....Made in China....hmmm...i think Made in USA is not a big point for me.

I have old Camelbak water bottles that have a much better nozzle design. I have 2 that are about 10 years old. The nozzle is similar but you technically don't need to open or close. I always keep the nozzles in the open state, and can hold them upside down without leaking water. I'm here, looking at reviews, because I'm trying to find new ones, and Camelbak seems to be gone down hill since, probably from years of chinese influence. Even my 10 year old Camelbak bottles were made in china.
