at 37:00 or so, I should say (A-3I)^5 is mostly zero (except the (6, 6) component which is (-1)^5 = -1). Only after multiplying (A-3I)^5 by (A-2I) do we get zero and in fact m(t) = (t-3)^3(t-2) fwiw.
