cornfield in autumn / The Extended Thought. my music with image. The house in which i grew up had a huge hill behind it that was terraced with acres of corn fields. The seasonal views of those fields in Western Pennsylvania were beautiful and i have vivid memories of them. The title "The Extended Thought" comes to me by virtue of my friend, Phillip. The origin stems from a mention of Shakespeare that came up in conversation; a conversation that referenced a piano performance of Phillip's music that was written for Phillip's nephew Connor - played by my friend Tetyana. That combination of events stimulated this reverie into my past and specifically where i grew up. The cornfield image depicted here is not from my childhood - it does, though, represent the look of foliage, trees, weeds, and a farmers field that is pretty accurate to what my music aimed to recover. The energy that is spawned by the artistry of my YouTube friends! ... is a wonderful impetus toward new ideas and new opportunities for creativity. I am blessed to have such friends.
