Both are great, Yuji is just more realistic like Gon, sometimes you understand the thread is so thin for Yuji to pass in the other side, also in those last chapters he was right again, he is a monster but he was just lucky to find someone in his way (his granpa) unlike Sukuna...For Mahito again you can see he is killing curse spirit without remorse, that's why you understand in Mahito's place he would have done the same thing.

There is also a difference in their backstories which makes their personality different.and there also the fact that most villains in naruto are tragic backstories and can be changed but in jjk the villans are evil because they just are inherently evil.there is no reason except that

Yeah their are contrast. But I wouldn't call it the anti-naruto. I mean the story are similar as Harry potter and star wars, since they both go through the heroes journey.
