I don't understand, their eyes and ears are also on their bodies, I know they made it this way for the scenes of 22 trying food for the first time, but they could have used a different explanation, like food doesn't taste the same because the soul doesn't need it or absorb it, something like this

That, in all honesty, is one of the most unfunny gags I’ve seen in a while. I don’t find the “drawn-out thing” gag funny anymore. It’s been done to death in modern film and I don’t find it funny anymore. Even the characters know they’re just padding for time.
