Pope Francis Makes Change To The Lord's Prayer

Just in from the Vatican: Pope Francis is making a change to the "Our Father."

I understand that what would be loosed on earth, would be loosed in Heaven. In no way does this give the Pope any authority to change the words of CHRIST!!!!Anyone who has said this prayer of Our Father, knows that it means, keep me from falling into sin, not that it ever implied that Christ leads anyone into I really find this shocking!!!

I recommend that all Catholic stick with the Doctors of The Church, all past Popes, and the sacred tradition (on these words) handed down from the Apostles themselves. Liberation theology (which is what this Pope is - a synthesis of Christian theology and Marxist socio-economic socialism) was formally condemned in 1984 by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. But do NOT let this drive you from the Church!

❤ The words, *"And lead us not into temptation, "* is there for a reason. ☝🏽 *It looks like Pope Francis is judging God from his own moral standard by saying God would NEVER lead His people into temptation to test them or to prove their loyalties.* One has to just read the story of Job. Yes, satan was the one to lead out in tempting and testing Job. But who gave satan the permission?  The words, *"And lead us not into temptation, "* reminds us of the sovereignty of God even over satan and sin !  We are simply asking God that since *"thy will [is being] done..."* we are not tested by satan to stray from that *will.* We also say the words to remind God of *our interest of not falling* into temptation, *maintaining a relationship* with God 🤔 So ... that's why I don't agree with the Pope changing Jesus's words here !  It is there for a significant reason. 🙏🏽 Regards

A few years back, changes were made to some responses in the Catholic church during masses. Took the people some time to get used to them. Ive always wondered if the translation of the "Our Father" is correct. ONLY IF IT WRONG should the Pope make any changes.

There's just no fear anymore which equates to non believe! I tremble at the thought of forever being in the lake of fire, thus I build upon the foundation of Christ!

The Pope obviously doesn't have an understanding of Revelation 22 : 18 - 19 . ☝ The Most High (God) did not give this Pope or any other Pope the authority to change " The Lord's Prayer ". Also, The Most High never gave Roman Emperor Constantine permission to change The Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday .

Jesus did not speak english. He spoke Aramaic. The english Our Father prayer is an interpretation of the Aramaic statement of Jesus. Pope Francis is correcting the interpretation because the prayer says it is God who leads us into temptation, hence changed to Do not lead us into temptation. There is no blasphemy here.
