The idea of Seto Kaiba personally converting every community college into a Duel Academy is the least crazy thing he’s done. This is the man who sent children’s trading cards into space because, and I quote, “Because if there really is intelligent life there, let’s teach them how to duel!”.

It's even crazier when you realize Jaden's character development through seasons 3 and 4 is him literally having mental health issues from *being forced to play a chlidrens card game.* The final episode was literally "Yo Jaden you forgot how to have fun go back to the past and have a good time."

To be fair: I thought Kaiba just loves dueling so much that he couldn't fathom the idea of not wanting to become a duelist. Like: "Wait, there are people who DON'T want to play this childrens' card game all day?"

I like that Jaden tried to help Syrus when he realizes he doesn’t want to be a Pro, most skits would have him try and make him enjoy dueling but this shows Jaden acknowledging his friend doesn’t want to be a Pro and accepting that. It shows how good of friends they are 😊

Kaiba: "We've reached a point where nearly all conflicts are resolved through the use of the game I own and the technology I've created. The global economy shifts when I deem cards tournament illegal. National borders have to be redrawn when I do a reprint of Dark Magician. I have become the god of this world, able to change all things within with my mere whim, and all of it through a children's card game. I will not allow anyone to take that from me. What Seto Kaiba has wrought, let no god or demon tear asunder!"

Jaiden is literally the reincarnation of an evil king and fused his soul together with a demon known as Yubel. Jaiden can literally conjure the cards into reality, create shadow games, enter different dimensions, talk to spirits, and use magic. Dude is the best duelist of his generation which makes him a god. No amount of nukes or bombs will stop Jaiden, you HAVE to beat him in a card game. That’s why everyone learns card games, its military at this point.

For the record, all these spin-offs made the Yu-Gi-Oh world about card games, but in the original manga, Duel Monsters was just one of many games played, and the cast all had actual dreams beyond playing card games, like Tea wanting to become a dancer and Yugi wanting to design games. The only nutjob is Kaiba, which is actually why this video makes sense. lol
