First and foremost I have a problem with any side padding a bill.
That crap practice needs to end.

You should not be able to add one thing to something else simply because the other has a lot of support for it.
That leads to too many issues that can be manipulated, and it's precisely why we have laws that ultimately end up needing to be fought against just to get them overturned or removed.

This should be abundantly clear no matter what side of the aisle you stand on.

Laws and rules need to only be addressed in isolation, otherwise we end up with a bunch of laws that do not have any real public support.

We saw this crap happen repeatedly during the last psychotic rollercoaster ride of an Administration.
It has to end here and now.

That said I don't see what minimum wage and covid relief have to do with it one another.
I fully understand that both can be seen as forms of relief.
However they are two separate subjects and need to be discussed in their own arenas.

Now on another part of this same subject.

What is the point of raising the minimum wage if they aren't going to stop them from Simply turning around and raising the prices of everything?

I can't speak for everyone but from my perspective that's simply offering the illusion of an increase and if I miss something here then please explain it to me like I'm a child.

I don’t understand how people could be for an increase in minimum wage.
Raising the minimum would take away jobs. And those that still have jobs could be working less hours.
Jobs that start at the minimum are not meant to support a family. It is meant to give work experience. Raising the minimum could take that opportunity away.

When they do raise the federal minimum wage, they also need to place a cap on rents nationally and put a freeze on costs from going up on products that consumers purchase too, for about a 3 year period. They have done this in the past and should implement it now. That raise will help reduce immediate inflation and give the people a chance to recover.

Does no one realize that if youre currently making minimum wage, and they raise it to 15$, chances are youre now out of a job. They said raising it would bring 900, 000 people out of the poverty level, but cost an estimated 1.5million jobs. Keep fighting for that 15$ and watch how fast the minimum wage jobs start dropping because private business owners won't be able to afford it.
