Young Voices of Abu Dhabi: Imagining Tomorrow’s Solutions

Sila Abu Dhabi is a student-led conference that brings together Abu Dhabi-based university students to explore local issues and instigate change. Over a two-day period, micro-groups of students from different universities collaborate to develop viable solutions pertaining to water, energy, or recycling and waste. Before a panel of judges at the evening finale, the teams present their proposed solutions to the city’s environmental concerns. The judges assess the projects and award the winning team seed money to realize their solution.
In the September 2012 conference, team “Al Johar” was chosen as the winning team and awarded seed money to implement their proposed water conservation project.
