I'm doing this 50 years hanging sheetrock drywall finishing plastic work from New York Long Island the second demonstration is correct except we do not turn our hand backwards let your hands stay the normal way let the sheetrock or the plywood land on the four fingers and allow your arm to go straight down so the bone is carrying the material not the muscle in the forearm nor the bicep muscle in the arm the arm is locked down the hand is closed tight both guys stay on the same side of the plywood or on the sheetrock it'll make it a lot easier we normally carry 12 ft pieces of sheetrock not me anymore cuz I'm 70 years old but it is what it is and it's a great video sir thank you from your friends over here across the pond

My man, I have a pallet of plasterboard dropping on the pavement in fifteen minutes and you've just saved my ass for certain

Thanks man, I’ve worked as a laborer years ago and carried many sheets but just got asked to return a load of sheetrock so was looking up the “correct” way to do this before tacking it, I think I can manage the old tip and reverse grip,

Legend! Wish I had seen this before dragging 4 sheets of 18mm thick hard plywood into my house. Will try these tips for getting them out the back to be cut part

That gripper is amazing. Smart. But you are correct, most of the time you only have your hands. Good tips.

If you tip Sheetrock up like that to get a grip you’ll likely break off corners. Try the Troll with wheels for sheet goods and no above the shoulder grip.

Hello. Thanks for the video. Do you think that the gorilla will work on lifting a big plywood (120x240) up stairs, to a floor.. so turning in small spaces, and the sheet beeing in an angled position. With just one hand to control it. Any exsperience to share✌️✌️✌️?

Thanks mate. I'm a 35 year old who just started training with a kitchen and bathroom fitter. Was working with an older experienced guy the other day. Carrying plasterboard from the van and I did it my usual spazzy way. Got the piss ripped right out of me 😂😂
It looks worse when it's a grey haired guy doing it wrong. Just makes you look like a plonker. People would be more understanding if I was a young apprentice.
Next time I'll look like I know what I'm doing, thanks to you. Cheers brother.
