I built a small sawmill on my River bend farm. I just feed it trees I wanted to cut down in the area. I hate loading logs with base game equipment so I drag them there with the winch. I've done a few deadwood contracts with a chainsaw and finding all the trees can be frustrating, I can't imagine doing it with a harvester.

The deadwood and wood transport jobs are a great earner.

The power is in mission respawn time... Those are one of the fastest contracts to do in game, especially cutting dead trees. Keep in mind that on Hutan Pantai there is lots of foliage in woods and those trees on hilly terrain are kinda hard to find, but on Zielonka its hard to not spot those.

And contract can be done like: take one, teleport to forest by using teleport to field map function, cut trees with hand saw, collect contract, profit. Wait 15 in game minutes (time can be accelerated) and repeat whole. This can make you over 100k$ per in game day.

For moving deadwood out from cutting place, you need only to take logs out of cutting area marker to save them for yourself.

Small (container) sawmill works exactly same as big one, but works 10x slower, aka. it is processing 10x less stuff per hour.

hi thanks for the video i did not think to do that because i tried it early on in fs22 platinum expansion and got as good as no wood for productions from the dead wood so it really was not worth doing more than cutting them down with the chainsaw and leave them there and turn in the contract i am really glad to see that it has changed since then
"edit" just went back to fs 22 and checked and they did patch it so it is worth cutting transporting and using the deadwood for productions

Another hack for you. Take a wood transport contract and you get a handy crane truck to collect all that deadwood… and a tidy contract fee when you cash it in too.

The crane truck also comes in handy if you happen to lose a round bale in the river……. Just saying

I started a game with $0 cash and $0 loan to see if I could do contract work until I could afford my own farm, decided to go the sawmill route and got frustrated that it takes so long to process. I didn't know the 'sawmill real' existed. I wish i had used it!

The regular, not small, sawmill makes about 5 times faster and makes woodchips you can sell for even more.

There is a little trap in your calculation, you forgot the processing cost. Based on your video you had $514, 286 before the saw mill. After the saw mill ended you had $493, 380 on your account. This makes $20, 906 in processing costs. So In total it is only a earning of $41, 895. It's still a great number for the work done with the tuned sawmill. But to be realistic, with the ingame sawmill this wouldn't be possible. Processing is there 4 times higher in price per month for only 10% of your output on the sawmill real. Rougly this is then $83, 624 in processing cost, eating up all gains and ending in a loss of around $20k.
