For those of you who missed my performance of ‘Carry You’ with Tim Minchin tonight on Channel 9, here ‘tis! This was weird and lovely. I didn’t have much to make my living room look fancy so those are little father Christmas tree lights behind me, and I decided to wear my wedding dress for the occasion. Not sure why! I’ve just been looking for an opportunity to wear it again. Everything’s a bit topsy-turvy at the moment, so why not. Thank you to Tim for this beautiful song, I love singing it, and please catch his series ‘Upright’ on Foxtel if you can, it is truly brilliant. I think he is totally overlooked just because he’s written some funny songs with swear words. But Tim is genuinely one of the best songwriters around.

First heard this song after a shitty day at work on a late train out of Brussels. I listened to it 10 times on repeat just thinking of my home in Australia. Such a beautiful song.

On this day 17 years ago my best friend closed his eyes and left this earth. I didn't think it would take this long for someone to write a song about my feelings for all those years. Just watched Tim's live concert and this is the last song he played. No-one could have expressed it better than Missy. A true classic written and performed by the most talented Australian artists there are.
