In the books Edwina did have her own love story. When she met Anthony, she essentially went “you’re not scholarly enough for me. But this is my sister who’d you’d get along with perfectly…when you stop fighting.” And then when Kate married Anthony, she introduced her “boyfriend” as there isn’t a time-accurate term for him, who is a professor. It is very sweet.

People are commenting on their expressions but i think it’s deliberate. Pen was always bubbly but never truly happy which she is here, Colin is a happy go lucky and a little immature so i think he’ll become a little more serious.
