Imperial Suite | Andor (Original Soundtrack) by Nicholas Britell

Andor continues the trend of pre-A New Hope Star Wars media lacking the Imperial March, bringing forth a new theme for the Empire. Built upon a hollow, mechanical beat, the main melody is played on low, plotting strings, playing a devious and almost regal theme for the tyrannical empire. It gets the job done, but I admit it's not the most memorable or unique non-Imperial March Empire theme we've gotten.

Andor made the Galactic Empire scary again

This is how the Empire should always be like. A real omnipotent and omnipresent power

I dont care what anyone says, Andor absolutely killed the soundtrack

I like thats its more luminous rather than grand, because andor explores the grey areas so it fits

Its a great OST as it delivers the techno-dystopian elements so well - which represents the (competent) ISB so greatly.

I love how the "Where's My Starpath Unit" song has such strong mystery and intrigue vibes. It's a little spooky, but not scary. Dedra Meero mystery game when?

I was born and spent my youth in the totalitarian country of the Warsaw Pact. You don't even know how well the creators of Andor gave the spirit of a totalitarian state. There is both the KGB and the Gulag, there is fear for loved ones and exploitation of the workers beyond their strength. When I watched it, I felt like I was transported not to the future, but to the past. You don't even know how scary life is in the Evil Empire.

Dedra Meero is one of my favorite characters in this show.

The creative team that bring us Rogue One and Andor made the Empire scary and their officers charismatic again. Not the joke of the disney first order

Ooooohhhh, this sounds so good. It is eerie, ghost-like and goes so well with the ISB's image in the show

A competent, determined Empire: Truly terrifying.

Andor is probably the best Star Wars show to come out since Clone Wars. Yes, I'd even argue better than Rebels and the Mandalorian, which are ALSO REALLY bloody good. Which really just shows even better how good Andor is by comparison.

Listening to this after seeing the series made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Just love it! Long live the Empire!

This is a nice soundtrack. It reminds me a lot of Mass Effect also, which is a good thing.

When the empire is depicted as comically evil, i tend to ironically support them. But this? I cannot ever in good concious support what this empire is. It is fascism through and through. How it seeps into every fascet of life, how you can never just look down and escape it, how one mans influence is constantly felt despite him never being there. It is pure terror

The xylophone 5-note refrain calls back to Mass Effect

Dedra in Ferrix sounds just like the Vader theme in Kenobi

Rebels was pre-A New Hope and it used the Imperial March. Rogue One, Kenobi and Fallen Order had the Imperial March in it also too. Most of the time it’s used with Vader though since he’s synonymous with the Empire.

I just love that the empire theme in this is similar to kenobi.
