Love this honest review. It is frustrating with other reviews when it read like a PR spec sheet.

I currently have a suburban as a rental, my first time driving a large SUV. And I love it ! It just floats along on the highway, it is so quiet, now I know why people love driving these on road trips!

The market for this vehicle is quite niche, I would get the General Moters Canada, Yukon, Denali over this one.

I test drove one of these a few weeks ago and my phone connected seamlessly so maybe just the sample you were given. The phone charger wouldn’t bother me because the phone could still fit sideways or backwards where the phone wasn’t actively charging when not needed. I think the wireless charging isn’t perfect in most vehicles even Mercedes and BMW. That problem with the volume is probably the only issue I’d be concerned about honestly. Would love to see the audio review on this though. In my opinion it sounds better than the AKG in the Cadillac.

Infiniti probably has maybe a decade left in existence. They show EV concept after EV concept, none of them ever materialize. It's all vaporware. They're still trying to flog the Q50 which you couldn't pay me to drive, QX50 and QX55 are jokes that were already obsolete the moment they launched, QX60 is a gussied up Pathfinder, and then there's this thing, their "flagship." Infiniti is a master class in how to run a car company into the ground.

Ok, help me understand... maybe I'm too broke to get it... but what is the point of soft close doors? I feel like it takes way more effort to NOT close the door completely yourself and I like the sound of a solid door closing. Now I get powered open and close doors...

Daily motor can ask Infiniti usa if they have their sport brand. They should make Infiniti QX80 red sport 480 horsepower and 544 torque that will be cool

Here in the Middle East, the patrol (the what you call the “Armada” in the US) is way more popular than the qx80 for some reason like it’s very rare to see one.

Its design looks cool; but functionality and details require improvement. They’ve stacked too many features before verifying the operating effectiveness of some.

I think there’s a place for this in its segment and they’ve done a lot of the fundamentals well, though your points of criticism are astutely observed and well-taken. At least most of them seem like they’re midcycle refreshable, like the some of the infotainment issues. Maybe they can add some more of the features competitors in this class have and carve out some more interior storage space further into its product lifecycle.

i would put my phone in the cool box with one them long cords but these complaints are true actually if u really live with a vehicle and most of us to make it worse got a buisness phone or phones and a personal phone

BIGGEST PET PEVE: Car reviews that show the driver or a POV driving the vehicle and that’s all they show. Show footage of the vehicle in motion or being driven from the outside. Seeing a car reviewer driving does absolutely NOTHING for the viewer interested in seeing and/or learning about the vehicle in the review
