MERCURY 350 MAG MPI IAC VALVE REPLACEMENT (2 BEEPS & STALLING SOLVED & FIXED) #Donzi #Mercury #boat

My Donzi 28ZX is equipped with twin mercury 350 mag mpi engines. The boat routinely has it services done and the engine were just previously rebuilt last season (2021) The engines have around 340hrs on them. All the gauges work as they should and no problems occurred.

The other day I took my boat out on a quick run and this beep came on. It beeped twice every minute or two and would not stop. I noticed that the starboard engine was stalling when in neutral or at a very low RPM. I did some hunting and came to the conclusion that it was the IAC valve (Idle Air Control Valve)

I went to my local marine store and they had the part in stock. I replaced the IAC valve and the engine beeping along with the stalling went away. The problem was fixed.

I loved the video. My favorite part was the BEEP BEEP part. No, but for real. Those 350's sound good in the Donzi. I have them in my 280 Formula. It sounds like you have the through hull on it. Like the rumble!

Replace crank shaft sencer and turn distributor just a little to advance and check spark plugs and clean distributor cap inside at the points and rotor and happy boating

Don’t forget get to change out your IAC filter in the Carburetor. $2.50 for two from Mercury dealer. It’s a thumb nail size white filter. Long nose pliers to remove and install.

Great video thank you! Had the beeping start last weekend. Also noticed I had to throttle up a little on that engine to get it to start so I’ll replace this valve and see if that does the trick. Quite a price difference between the IAC from Wesr Marine ($148) and Amazon ($27). Where did you get yours?

Does your engine hunt back and forth on a cold start for the first 10 seconds or so before smoothing out? Wonder if my iac is getting lazy
