Does Jar Jar do this on purpose?

In this clip, it seems as if Jar Jar intentionally causes commotion so Qui-Gon gets to know Anakin and eventually that is how they foster a greater relationship.

If Jar Jar hadn't sucked on that animal and stalled, they never would have discovered Anakin. That means that the Jedi would never have fallen, and the Empire would never have risen. Jar Jar sensed Anakin nearby, so he purposely stalled in order to advance the plan for galaxy wide domination. The Empire's rise and the billions of people they killed are all due to Jar Jar sucking on a dead animal at the market...

I'm not a conspirator kind of guy, but it's hard not to think that the jar jar theory is true. Jar Jar is the prequel version of yoda. Before yoda's review, he acts like a fool too

It's true. Look at the weird way Jar Jar moves his hand and arm, right before Sebulba was about to punch him in the face. It wasn't a simple cowardly block, although it was meant to look that way to keep up the fool illusion. He was moving his fingers in a very particular way, as if to be using a force mind trick to stop Sebulba from throwing the punch. Seriously, look at the way Sebulba just stops when Jar Jar does that. It's as if Darth Darth Binks was like, "Ok little fool, that is enough. I've made the necessary distraction in order for the boy to be found." His eyes even give that away when he is still on the ground watching Anakin and Sebulba chat. So devious

If the fans hadn’t effectively killed the plan, the planned reveal of Darth Jar-Jar probably would have been one of the greatest twists in cinematic history. All these otherwise completely unnoticeable subtle things they had him doing, like lip-syncing with other characters during key dialogues, drunken martial arts, mind tricks on Sebulba, and afterimage movements against droids, would have added up to an absolutely fucking mindblowing reveal further down the line.

For me, Jar Jar's 'force wave' and Sebulba's reaction (0:51) is the smoking gun for the Darth Jar Jar theory.

Why else would jar jar try to swallow random pieces of meat that he hasn't payed for and are clearly secured on a rope; letting him "accidentally" mouth throw it at sebulba and introduce Ani to the equation?

Either George made a really contrived obvious plotline where Jar Jar accidentally causes the entire plot(the one we're all used to), or he makes a significantly less contrived subtle plot where jar jar intentionally and malevolently causes everything (the one from the reddit theory).

If the Phantom Menace was originally supposed to be about Jar Jar Binks being the Phantom Menace then that actually makes everything make way more sense and is actually extraordinarily brilliant. George Lucas is quite the visionary. Damn. It is too bad that he caved to media pressures.

It's really cute that Master Binks played along and let Sebulba think he had the upper hand. I mean, sure, it served a higher purpose, it allowed Qui-Gon to meet Anakin Skywalker, but still. Most Sith Lords wouldn't have the restraint needed to let a random Dug "beat them up" for the sake of putting up a front of vulnerability.

Also, many of the sith in the series have those very dark yellow "raptor" eyes.

If you look at Jar Jar as he enters the house where Anikin stays shortly after this scene you can see Jar Jar Smile with satisfaction as if he achieved something secretly.
