Brooklyn and Bailey – SiMPLE THiNGS (Official Music Video)
Показать описание
With this second song, we wanted to share a message about young love and remembering that it’s the simple things that can help establish a firm foundation… not only in relationships, but in life.
In a world where relationships and marriages are broken just about as often as they are made, we often forget what it is like to be so in love. The leap of faith you took when you had never fallen in love before, and felt so insignificant. The first reciprocated smile, the first time that his/her hand brushed up against yours, the butterflies in your stomach when you were about to see them again, the first kiss, etc.
Simple Things is about puppy love, young love, newly wed love, middle-aged love, and old love. Tweens hear the song and wonder what young love will be like for them, older girls hear it and say that is exactly what they are going through, and women listen and say that they remember fondly those moments. We enjoy seeing an elderly couple walking hand in hand (now at a point when their lives have slowed down and their children are all grown), being as cute together as can be, and we can’t help but grin from ear to ear. They get the simple things.
Not only this, but as humans it seems that we tend to overcomplicate everything. We let the world or our schedules dictate our happiness, which often takes a priority over our relationships. We forget.
Just like in sports, as with many other activities, it all comes down to mastering the fundamentals and basics. We just have to make it a priority. Our hope is that with this song, we can all remember the simple things that make us happy in our relationships and life, and focus on those things.
Yes, this song is about falling in love, but it's also about falling in love with life... because life should be about the Simple Things.
