My pinkerton is currently doing the same thing - it flowered nearly 3 times last year - jan, mid year and started pushing out flowers in mid december. We picked a crop in nov, are picking now, and have a small developed fruit set in addition to the new flowers. I think it has more to do with the unseasonably warm winter we're having - 2020 was the warmest year on record.

Is that a Carmen / Karmen ? People are claiming 2-3 or even 4 flowerings a year. Yields in Mexico went from 7 tons an acre with Hass to 27 tons an acre with Carmen - per Gary Matsuoka of Laguna Hills Nursery

Another awesome comparison video. Maybe you've found an Avo that does not need to be pollinated I put a paper bag over a flowering Hass branch and shook the hell out of it for about 2 weeks twice a day. Every flower set fruit but after about 2 months only 2 fruit were left hanging from it and after a year only one very large fruit was left. The rest of the tree had zip that year so it just fed that one fruit for about 15 months until I picked it before the raccoons tried to get it. I never could replicate it so not sure what magic was at play.

When avocados flower in December / January -- would there be bees/insects that can pollinate them, though ?
