#1 At LEAST lock the door.
#2 preoccupy them with something.
#3 wait til they're asleep
#4 have someone watch them or take them somewhere..

Yep. I had a nightmare when I was a kid in which there were massive spiders covering every inch of my bedroom. So naturally, I jumped out of bed and ran to my mom's bedroom, crying. All I saw from the sliver of light coming from the hallway bathroom was her boyfriend's bare asscheeks and the sound him grunting. I immediately stopped crying and went back to my room, traumatized, because I would rather be with the spiders than have to experience that sh** again. 😅

The “that’s wrong” part is so real 😭 It happened to me when I was a kid at night and they didn’t see me, I just opened the door (what is with these parents having locks and not fucking using them) then closed it quietly. I distinctly remember spending the next few hours before I fell asleep considering that my parents were evil. Like genuinely bad people because I was so grossed out. It’s such an interesting response that kids seem to naturally have to it

As a toddler I walked in on my parents, they figured out I was there when I grabbed my dad’s leg… I don’t remember it but he’s traumatized 😂

Never walked in on, but heard what was going on. My aunt and Uncle would do it at like 9 or 10 at night, when me and my cousin were just trying to have a sleepover. It was awful

I fortunately never walked in on them, but in high school I went downstairs in the middle of the night to get some water and I got to the end of the steps when I overheard them. Didn't even hit the ground floor before I turned straight back around and decided I no longer needed that water. I started bringing a water bottle to my room from then on so we wouldn't have that problem again.

I ALMOST did, but their door was locked. I knocked and my mom said "go away!" which is NOT like her at all, so I left a sticky note on the door telling her to come help me.
She basically said "sometimes, dad and I like to be alone-"
My brother on the other hand fully walked in on them once before I was born 😭

I live with my single mom. My room and her room were only separated by curtains. So when she had random hookup come to her, i heard everything. And i do mean EVERYTHING, no matter how hard they tried to stay silent. And i couldn't fall asleep for like the entire night. When same thing repeated again year later, i got fed up and ajd started ruining their fun by yelling loudly "i can still hear you! I still don't sleep!" And even banging on the wall. I do not wish that experience on anybody
