Bought a Avirex B-15 leather jacket in 1992.(Avirex is now Cockpit USA). First, it's a very heavy jacket made of quality leather. The B-15 leather jacket is a 2-in-1 kind of jacket, where you can wear it with a removable warmer inside lining and fur collar. It has oxygen mask hose secure button tabs and pen/pencil sleeve pockets. Inside, it has one hidden pocket to keep a wallet from falling out of your pants while you perform barrel rolls in your plane. It truly is a useful jacket. With leather conditioning, storage in plastic bag during the summer, this jacket has lasted me all that time. It looks well "weathered" as though it has been through all 50 flight missions and is every bit of the jacket today as it was then.

My much-loved vintage Avirex B-3 was stolen yesterday, so now I'll be buying a new Cockpit (FKA Avirex) or Schott B-3, but neither can ever replace my old one.

+Craig Shipp I decided to order the Alpha N2B Bomber Flight Jacket. I received it yesterday and wore it already the same day. I truly love it. Took my daughter to school this morning in 30°+ weather and I stayed pretty warm. With just a short sleeve t-shirt on I was pretty impressed and glad I purchased it. I get compliments from friends and other parents. Great video, thanks! I have worn my LL Bean Flying Tiger bomber jacket for eight years now. It has classic WWII styling, very comfortable goatskin, and it keeps me warm on even the coldest days (I live in New England). Two years ago, I had to replace the zipper and chose brass snaps (for an even more classic look). I have also to repair the lining in two places, which I did by hand. But I love the look and feel of it. For those who just want to try it on, you can, and if you don't like it, LL Bean has the best possible return and repair policy.

It's a solid heavy leather jacket built to last.

nice run down Craig, I got a B3 style that had been heavily repaired for £30 on ebay. it has amazing patina and I didn't want to splurge as I can't see myself wearing it that much but I always wanted one in my wardrobe

today I ordered that n2b for me, I didn't find any vid reviews of it when I was buying it, after I bought it I didn't like my choice of jacket until I saw this video, I thought it was heavy and cold and it didn't have much of description, when I saw this video I don't regret my choice, you showed more things about it, and I love jackets that have multiple usages, like that jacket has many pockets and that massive hood and in all, it looks awesome :)

Gibson and Barnes. Little known but run by a former Marine Aviator. Has fantastic leather flight jackets in ultra-authentic designs and also the "civic" versions with handwarmer pockets (My A2 is this model. It's fantastic).

I have a corinth n2b I just got in large size. Seems super warm but they wear kind of high to me. I'm 5'10 190 lbs. wonder if I should have xl? I'm used to lower riding jackets. It could just be the design of the jacket it feels great in the chest and shoulders

Years ago I bought a U.S. Wings Indiana Jones jacket. Very very well made and heavy. BUT the sleeves ride up to much on it so I never wear it. Wish it had gussets in the back. Another nice "bomber" model I bought is a very old minty Bermans Horsehide jacket with sherpa liner and shearling collar. Both detachable and the jacket is in horsehide. Only horsehide jacket I own and probably ever will.

+Craig Shipp I love the MA1 bomber jacket with hood but and I like the N2B bomber jacket too. On the N2B I love that the hood unzips and lays flat, but I don't like the storm flaps over the front zipper. Between the two which one keeps you warmer? Need a good jacket for 30°- 40° mornings walking my daughter to school. Have you ever seen the MA1 with a hood that unzips? Thank You very much.

damn nice jackets. not a fan of the ones with the fur. a regular one with just leather, to me, looks much nicer. then again, I'm a minimalist.
