2021 Mercedes E450 4MATIC Is True To The Luxury Coupe Genre

If you think sedan sales are down, 2-door coupes should be on the endangered species list. Fortunately, Mercedes-Benz has a wide variety of 2-doors for people who want the intimacy of a true coupe (not the 4-door kind). The E 450 has received a significant refresh for 2021 and it’s way beyond some sheet metal tweaks. The standard engine is now a turbocharged inline-6 cylinder with EQ Boost (aka a mild hybrid system). This is the engine the E Class deserves. And the interior is lovely because, well, it’s a Mercedes. Tom Voelk checks out a well-equipped 4MATIC model. Hey Tom! I really liked your review. I always loved coupés. To me, they are just so much more elegant and luxurious than sedans - not to mention Station wagons and 4*4s. Hence, after thoughtful consideration I treated myself with an E 450 AMG 4 matic coupé yesterday. Do opt for the panoramic roof, the large displays and the air suspension. Here in Europe we love the AMG line mainly due to the design. They make up the bulk of the sales. Your comments helped me digesting the negative attitude of my female friend ... she just loves SUVs and 4*4s.Keep up the great work! Greetings from Switzerland.

Calling a sedan or SUV a "coupe" is apparently totally fine in the automotive industry, now.
Maybe I'll start calling my VW Sportwagen a "Sportcoupe"?
