Got my Arc for a solid 6 months now and I am still blown away when watching some movies with how cinema like the sound is. The only thing you are missing without a sub is the sofa shaking bass. Everything above that still has bass so good, it is actually hard to believe, since it's just a long tube in front of the TV. I will most likely get the sub at some point but man it sure is not necessary one bit. Even in our big living room with high ceilings the bass and sound fills the room. Still mad in love with this thing haha

As a Sonos Eco System owner of: Arc, Sub, Sonos1x2. I have something to say. The app actually isn't easy to use for non techy owners. I had the system for a year now, and I realized their major flaw... That is the connectivity. This is their best feature; yet it can be the owner's nightmare. Let me explain. The entire system is integrated into the app via your WI-FI network. Router shoots out new Internet Protocol (IP) Address along with DNS, DHCP when it restarts. Let's say that your area had a local power or internet outage or you accidentally plugged out the ARC, or Sub, or anything connected to your Home Theatre System... Your nightmare begins. You now have a NEW Internet Protocol Address. The App won't detect your systems since your DHCP has been resetted. Be prepared to uninstall the App, factory reset the system, reconnect the installation that takes around 30min - 45 min to configure. You try to reconnect your system into the app, and now comes hell. it will not detect your surrounds or fail to connect wi-fi. WTF is going on? Prepare to unlink the TV WI-FI and retype the new password. Restart the phone, and disconnect from wi-fi, and reconnect by typing new password. Now you're ready. But wait... every saved data on your eco system is now gone. Alexa needs to be reconfigured too. It is hell. For price of the entire eco system, go with Sennheiser Ambeo Max. Seriously. Easier to use, and better quality of sound for same price of entire eco 5.1 set. The Pro of this system is that the Atmos is amazing; however, for the amount of problem it can encounter if your internet is down, it is not worth it. Wired Connection is necessary as an option for people that don't want internet system.

I bought the arc some weeks ago and combined it last week with a Sub Mini. In my opinion it provides more than enough bass for our living room that's not so large.

I got a Sonos Arc about 2 months ago…it’s coupled with my Sub Gen 2 and a pair of Play 1’s and the sound is SUPERB….I am not disappointed and totally recommend it to anyone willing to pay the price. 👍🏾👍🏾

About a month ago, I got the sub gen3 after having the arc about a year, and it was worth every penny. The sound is amazing. I have the entire kit now. Bought it a piece at a time and loving every minute of it. Definitely recommend the sonos. You do get what you pay for with them.

Please remember to recalibrate TruPlay after updating to 14.18. The improvement in sound quality is tremendous

You dont need e-arc/HMDI 2.1 to get atmos. You will still get atmos over standard HDMI Arc but it will be compressed. Lossless Atmos is available only via e-arc, but if you're using streaming services it doesnt make a huge difference since that will be coded as the lossy Dolby Digital Plus

I’ve had a playbar in my living room for 7 years and a couple 1 SLs around the house. Just upgraded to an arc+sub gen3. These speakers really are incredible and worth the high cost. Planning on buying a couple more 1 SLs for rears now.

The deal breaker for me is all that money you spend and no upfiring rears and no hdmi in. But I do like the way it sounds.

Went all in on the Sonos this year. Just added the Fives as surrounds. Expensive setup, but I'm pretty happy.

We consume all of our media via a PC using Plex, and PC monitors and projectors. These devices don’t have Arc HDMI. What do you recommend we do? We also have one monitor hooked up to a Firestick that we would like Sonos connects to.

I have a small living room. I got a sony a80j 77" paired with a sonos arc and sub gen 3. Its surround and bass is phenomenal. I get compliments from people.

Sonos Arc SL + two Sonos One SL + Sonos Gen 3 Subwoofer. I’m 100% happy with this great system. Every once in a while I think about “upgrading”. But, I’m sticking with my current system for the foreseeable future. I have a separate two channel stereo system utilizing some components almost fifty years old! System sounds great, and I enjoy listening to music. My point is enjoy your music and videos - don’t drive yourself crazy chasing the latest and greatest.

I’m interested in the arc and sub but for the rears I need to have in ceiling as I’m in the midst of construction. How will this setup work with the Sonos in ceiling speakers? What wires do I need to run for the arc to tv? I’ll also have 5x sonos amos for other zones in my house. Will I need to run this setup through an amp?

Hello there great video! any idea when the Sonos Arc gen 2 could appear?
Also how do you think the Sonos Area 300 complements or supplements the Arc?
