I'm up in Fresno and jam to 91X in my classroom as I was introduced spring break 1990 and have been loyal ever since. I now have former students living in SD and they are now 91X fans. Just spreading the vibe keep doing what you are doing.

This was awesome, big kudos to whom spark a light and came up with the idea... A to XYZ for ever... This was a revival... This is energy... Keep the genres rhythm's flowing... good job...

I was a listener from Day 1 back in 1983. I don't live in the area anymore, but I'm glad you're switching over to this format that will celebrate all the music you've ever played! New and old. KROQ, MARS FM, and 91X were my jams.

OMG I am all in on this change! I have been asking 91X and its main competitor to do this for years, and I was definitely in the "Why Can't 91X be like this all the time??!" camp while I was glued to the radio during the nine days of "91X A to XYZ." Absolutely agree with what was said here about how the station just needs to be 91X, and not "pound the same 20 songs over and over again until you're sick of 'em."

That being said I would prefer to hear what was the station's staple at its inception: weird, random sh..tuff, rather than radio-weary cliché new/wave alt songs that went on to become Top 40 hits (yeah, I'm talking to you "I Melt With You'! 😝), but since this Feb. 24 announcement, the station has been good at playing a little of both, and still incorporating new music as well. Keep taking these risks 91X, and we'll keep the radio turned on. 📻 Love it! ♥️

This is great you guys, I have always loved (close) to all the music you have played in these 40 years. So it's gonna be even better to listen to all the 40 years and new songs altogether.

So far its felt more like classic alternative hits past couple of months outside of Sundays, I think we need more depth change in the weekdays. I've been saying a lot though but rewatching this I haven't seen much variety and much focus on all decades yet.

Haven't listened in a long time. Glad to hear they're going back to their roots. When I first came to San Diego in 87 from Philly, there was no alternative format in the Philly market. Started listening to KGB, but was tired of the classic rock format. 91X was a revelation. Stopped listening after they started playing corporate alternative music. Glad 91X has seen the light!
