One day in Reykjavik, Iceland... was the Blue Lagoon worth it??

I landed bright and early (6:15am!) at the airport near Reykjavik the day before my 10-day Iceland & Norway cruise, and thought spending the day relaxing and recovering from a red-eye flight sounded like the perfect plan! I booked my transfer to Blue Lagoon from the airport, my Blue Lagoon entry fee, AND a transfer to my hotel all in one easy and convenient booking via Reykjavik Excursions! (link below)

After arriving at Blue Lagoon I spent an absolutely wonderful relaxing day enjoying the hot mineral water, trying three different face masks, and two included drinks, the sauna and steam room, followed by some much needed R&R in the lounge all cozy in the provided bathrobe. I loved my experience at Blue Lagoon and would absolutely go back in the future in another visit to Iceland.

In this video I will tell you what I booked and how the process worked for my situation, including details about the overall Blue Lagoon experience. Everything with the bus transfer went incredibly smoothly and it was an amazing way to kick off an incredible vacation. Just subscribed. I live in the UK and went to the blue lagoon on a trip to Iceland many years back now. You know it cured my eczema! Id had that since being a child and at 40 years old it cleared as I bathed in the water with the minerals. Never had it since and I'm nearly 58 now!

The light flicker is probably because you're recording at 30 or 60 fps while the power in Europe is on 50 Hz so its not lining up. So to stop this you have to change to 25 or 50 fps recording if possible.
This is not an issue on cruise ships as most use 60 Hz power.
Also with modern LED lights this is also not an issue because they are DC (direct current) and not AC (alternating current).

We just got off the same cruise and I loved it. Captain warned us we may not make it to Amsterdam but we did end up going there. I was nervous about the mixed reviews of the ship but I loved it. Exactly as some described it was like a boutique hotel. Beautiful decor and we didn’t really have a hard time finding places on the ship to hang out. The band that played rock and roll in Syd Norman’s was phenomenal. The Donna Summer show was absolutely incredible. The price is right was fun as well.

I definitely need to visit Iceland and Blue Lagoon. Have you ever been to the Dead Sea in Israel? The mud there has similar effects on skin.

I've been to the Blue Lagoon twice and it's cool, but I hear the Sky Lagoon nearer Reykjavik is the place to go now. I did notice an appreciable difference (and not in a good way) between my visit about 10 yrs ago and my visit in 2023.
