Weber Spirit E210 LP Gas 2-Burner Grill 3-year update E-210

This grill has been great. After 3 years of use it is like new and performs flawlessly. My only complaint is that I can't seem to get a good sear on my steaks even though the grill can reach a 600 degree temperature. There is no rust to be seen on the exterior of the grill and it is very well constructed. I deep clean it once or twice a season and use a nylon brush to clean the grates after each use.

How to sear on spirit e-210: (I own this grill and here's how i do it)

Melt some tallow and brush it on your cold meat before it goes on the grill. Get the grill ripping hot. Place the meat over the left or right flavorizer. The tallow will drip and ignite on the flavorizer, creating more than enough fire to sear your meat.

If you want to be really hardcore, you can also remove one of the grates, rotate the remaining grate 90 degrees, and set it directly on top of the three flavorizers. This will put the meat just a few cm above the flavorizer. When the tallow catches fire your meat will be engulfed in flame.

NOTES:
Chicken fat works too. Canola oil and many other fats do NOT work because they just don't create nice flavors when burned.
Be ready to remove the meat and let it rest after the sear. The grill will need to cool down before you can continue cooking at a reasonable temperature.

Weber makes awesome long lasting products. And if something does go bad, there are tons of replacement parts available. My last Weber grill lasted over 25 years. Currently have the Spirit 3 burner. Still going strong after 8 years.

Great review. I find that to be the perfect grill. Unless you’re a heavy and frequent entertainer, this is all you need. I used to have one of those cheaper brand grill that was HUGE and I never used more than 15 inches of space.

I have the same grill and I agree it is a great product. I actually splurged for the Weber cover and it is definitely worth the price. It fits perfect and has lasted over four years in constant outdoor Northeast weather and is still going strong.

I just finished building mine and cannot wait to try it out. Buying an LP tank and some steak/veggies on the way home from work today! Thanks for the review, this helped me feel confident in my choice.

I always told myself that I would only use a charcoal grill, After purchasing this Weber Spirt ll, I will never go back to charcoal! Great grill!

Thanks for the review. I have a e310 from 2006 and it's finally rusting out. One front leg is being held up by interlocking stones and the drip tray rails rusted off as well being held up by stones.

She gets hot! Searing no problem. I debated getting the new 210 but I think I'll bite the bullet and get another e310. It lasted 15 years! No cover either. Never used one.

Looks nice Micheal! I love Weber products, but my favorite is the Weber Charcoal Grill. I had to get rid of it when I bought my condo, but I hope to sell in the future and will be getting a new one. Happy Memorial Day to you and your wife and family.

Dang, you have taken great care of your grill. Weber is the best of the best.

Can the not searing correctly problem have something to do with the gas convertion that you made? Not sure just asking. Is it still propane/butane? Or at least here in the Czech Republic the fuel that is suppposed to be used is called propane/butane. Is it still the same fuel?

I bought a nexgril at home Depo
That was cheaper. After 3 years the grill was completely shot. The insides were completely rodded out with rod holes and burners rodded off the frame. I also had it covered since new.
I think Weber’s are made in Chicago but I think they started outsourcing especially starting in 2018. Still a great grill. I know they last for years my father had one that he never covered and I know he had it over 10 years.
Napoleon is supposed to be another good brand. There made in Canada

Hi, where the grill of the lid meets the bucket of the grill on the back, is there any chipping where the stopper hits the grill? I noticed last night on mine it is already chipped there and worried about future rust.

Thanks for the info! Do you keep it under any kind of shelter/roofing/overhang? or is it exposed to the elements with only the cover you mentioned?

I had a Coleman grill before my Weber and it went well beyond 700 degrees, I got a nice sear on my meat but the tradeoff was DRY meat. I think the Weber has found the sweet-spot for keeping the keep meat moist and juicy.

Thanks for the video, I am using this grill for few years. I face couple of problems, please let me know if you face it and any solution.

1. the back part of the cooking surface gets some flame leaks and gets much hotter than the front, anyways to keep it distributed?
2. the cap over the pipe between 2 burners has fallen off, any recommended way to glue it?

thanks

I bought a Weber E210 Spirit seven and a half years ago in the U.K. for £279. Now the price is £515. The flavorizer bars have just been replaced due to rust but I have to say the Weber now represents poor value for money in the U.K.
