I was watching Caleb's mysql database in 4-5 years ago. At that time, I was a year 3 student in the unversity, and have no clue about anything related to app develoment, but Caleb just like my database master and his video just helped me build up a foundation slowly but surely. And, today, I have been working in IT industry for almost 2 years and recently, I have asked to handle about database replication and read write spilt issue, those are advanced topicwhich I never touched before. And, I just by chance see this video when I put the keyword on the Youtube search. I am really excited to start this DB clustering jounrey now!! Thanks for always creating such great tutorial!

Awesome video. Super smart tech guy using a chalk board in 2017? I'm digging the old school meets new school vibe.

Thanks for the video. Let's say your organization has 20+ critical applications and requires high availability(Active/Passive). Would you create one cluster and place all nodes(that serve the 20+ applications ) or would you try and divide it into cluster A, B, C and split the nodes and respective applications between them? What is the best approach, with cost not being a factor.

Hi, What's up, I'm very beginner at it, do they cluster nodes only have a single database to point to? Because you are talking about storing data in each one, did you mean processing the data in each one? Because I understand the data is stored in a single database, Thanks in advance

Thanks Caleb for a lovely and informative video. Can you please also use polarizing filter for you camera or change an angle of shooting. Lamp reflecting on a board and some text on it - is not human-readable.
