CIA nominee Gina Haspel defends reputation at hearing

President Trump's pick to be the next CIA director, Gina Haspel, was grilled by lawmakers in her confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Honestly, torture may be unethical, etc.; however, the United States Government approved using "enhanced interrogation techniques", and the serving President of the United States (Bush) as well as members of congress and the senate pressured the C.I.A. to explore every means necessary to produce results and protect American lives. So, no one there should point the finger except, perhaps, at themselves. All of them (or their predecessors) are accountable for the actions of that time.
