Damn some of these actually got me tearing up, especially Moving On. It reminded me of a lost sense of childhood, and how I'm leaving it behind. Spongebob is realizing he can't say in one place forever and telling himself that it's okay to let people go, and turn into memories. I've been on a nostalgia binge recently, rewatching the early Spongebob to get that feeling of being a small kid again, and it felt like he was on the same journey when he said what he did in the beginning. We all become adults at some point, and we have to leave that behind. But in a way, we never leave it completely behind, and we carry it with us in our memories and pass it on to our children. I'm currently working on a college essay, and I like to imagine that all my childhood cartoons are proud of me. (I finally know how Spongebob felt that one time with his essay)

He wasn't waiting for the door to open. He was trying to make sure that thing absolutely died once and for all.

"Open Sesame", spoken by the right individual and species, was the banishment spell for an unknown entity that dwelled in Bikini Bottom for some time after Spongebob was employed at the Krusty Krab, and no one really knows how many lives its claimed since it first appeared. Every year, approximately 73 fish of indiscriminate species would be found with their internal organs and limbs completely pulverized from the inside, all of which were caused by intrusive and traumatic entry into their bodies through every available orfice the fish might have. Over the years, the monstrous killer would come to be known as "The Scourge From Rock Bottom". Eyewitness accounts of the Scourge vary, from Squidward's description of it as a mass of geletanious matter to Sandy Cheeks detecting high traces of microscopic fibrious hair growths all over the dead fish.

It was in fact the reason why Sandy Cheeks was ordered to go down to Bikini Bottom in the first place, as a unique kind of scientist who'd be able to monitor the undersea anomaly in the event that it would make landfall on the surface. Little did she know that Patrick Star's family knew the full extent of the Scourge, a secret that was passed down generations before the first victim of the Scourge turned up outside of Weenie Hut Jrs. They even possessed the means of detecting whether or not the Scourge was nearby, since a normally undetectable water-based pheremone emitted by the Scource could only be picked up by chinodermic organisms like Starfish. It was even able to get into homes and linger around in Bikini Bottom residences and other isolated locations hours before the Scourge would violate and kill any unfortunate fish that were standing in the midst of the pheremones

That day when they were trapped in the dome, Patrick Star saved his friends lives and countless other lives that would've been lost had not he detected the pheremones seeping in from outside the dome. It was lurking and waiting to kill and eviscarate whoever resided in the Tree Dome, as its hunger was endless.

OPEN SESAME!

Struck by the powerful spell that was taught to Patrick Star by his real father, the Scourge would spend the next ten hours flailing in confusion, anger, and pain on a scale it never experienced over its millenia of existence. One by one, its matter ruptured underwater and were crushed by the pressure when they were detatched from the rest of the Scourge. never to come to form again.

Patrick Star was the Hero Bikini Bottom needed, but one they may never know the significance of
