TERA was THE action MMORPG and frankly... still is. The combination of intense end game bossing with fun holy trinity action combat is still unique.

For fans of MMO, massively multiplayer online games, and coop rpg.

Thanks For Watching!

6 hours before the Tera servers close forever, I am still logged in with my gunner, preparing myself to say one of the hardest goodbyes to a friend of so many years. This game will be greatly missed. And yes. We were still playing it.

What an accurate and insightful video. Fully agree with almost every word, Tera had a trailblazing 'high skill ceiling' action combat system and was incredibly fun.

Luckily some people created a private server called Menma's Tera I've been playing there for a few weeks and it has quite a few refugees from all regions, everything is easy to obtain

As I've always said, dying mmos should be forced to be floated into the public domain rather than shut down, if not the source code, at least the final server build + clients. It is a travesty that we lose huge chunks of our life experience, not to mention the accounts/characters/progress, without any say or recourse. Thank God for City of Heroes getting leaked a couple years ago is all I can say!
Mrs is still hurting from Marvel Heroes getting the plug pulled on it, the way it did...

I played back then 10+ years already Eve Online and I never touched in my life Tera Online or anything like this. So it was one the first fantasy mmorpg. I fell in love in it, played 2.5 years. Did everything / even got to be in top 1 worldwide guild. Made good friends, lost my best gaming friend to cancer, while we were playing Tera. I been in gamer so long, but what memories I made in Tera I will value rest of my life. It hurts to see it go.

It pains me to say, I don't believe there will be a Tera 2. It's one of my favorite MMO's of all time, if not my favorite period. But considering Blue Hole has failed colossally with Elyon, which was meant as a spiritual successor of sorts, leads me to believe they won't last long enough to develop a Tera 2. Even if they did, I'm not sure the community would trust them to really invest in Tera 2 if they did develop it. The best we can hope for is another spiritual successor from a company/team that doesn't suck.

The grinding of Tera is what pushed me away. But let's say, hypothetically, a Tera 2 did come out - I'd want it to be more than just a cooperative dungeon experience. I loved loved loved the world environments, and exploring them was a ton of fun. The setting, themes, and locations were standout and wonderfully crafted. A Tera 2 without a world to explore just wouldn't feel like Tera to me. But I guess that really highlights that MMOs can be appealing to different people for different reasons. Honestly, if they just tuned the leveling, it would have been so much better.

They need to make TERA 2 an open world with Co-Op just like Elden Ring and (kinda) its predecessors. Game of the century.

Because of Tera.. I can't settle for less. I need a game with a good combat system. I haven't been truly drawn to an MMO since Tera.

I remember when Tera was announced and all we had were a couple trailers. I was super excited for it. I played it along with wow for a long time. I haven't played Tera regularly in a few years but it's a bummer it's not going to be around on pc anymore. Some of the stuff was weird, like the in game shop items, but it was quirky and I liked that. It also had some of the best combat I've ever played in an mmo. I'm definitely going to miss that. I never got to end game stuff, but had a ton of alts and just loved running around and leveling.

Today me and my friend actually got back on Tera and are going to get back into it.

It sucks that console only has one server now so are original characters got deleted because they was on a server that got deleted.

Imo Tera is the best MMO out there.
I don't really like MMOs and yet I still love Tera.

I remember my first leveling, challenging with a lot of team maker to complete BAMs quest before doing dungeons. Huge GvG during nexus time, with guild closing Kanstria, entertaining Fraywind canyon, accessible end-game with visionmaker and pvp gear only obtainable in 3v3. Each guild could manage a sector to set fee, npcs available or not. In 2012, this game had everything but devs erased those good things with time. Now the game have worst graphics, seasonal content, no support for new player, a destroyed and useless leveling/open world, pvp disappear, Nexus and old dungeons erased. This is ironic to see that the last hardest dungeon of this game is still Shandra Manaya after 10 years the game was so regressif.

Tera *was* amazing... But it already died to me like 3 years ago. It just had a delayed funeral.

No joke I started playing this game with MY DAD. Where he was the healer and I was a lancer. Then I went on to learn and understand every single class in every single way. Until I was known as all knower. I played this game till last year which my pc couldn't handle the game anymore..
Started from the almost beta I think to last year.. But I know this would happen. After they removed time escape I know things was dead and so is the game. I had time escape master title Harrahold raid was just a thing I did for fun.. The 30 people dungean with dragons..
And of course Zulfikar forest. The nexus where the entire server fight a number of bosses one after another for hours. As a proud member of once the number 1 guild Ottoman empire, a guild that so many people was scared of before we quit, I will miss playing tera.

excellent take on the game and everything within it, its nice to see other people share the same opinion of such a memorable and beautiful game. we will all miss it and i know we will all hope for a true tera 2, not the betrayal of tera's legacy that was elyon, not to mention it's fallen so far so fast, elyon hit 8th or 9th year anniversary tera population losses in under a year since its launch. its obvious that going with tera's early on development direction of the first few years when it was massively successful, was the way to go. it's truly sad to see they didn't at least build on what they did right from tera's success and instead went with a different ip and a totally different direction no one ever liked at all. elyon never took off even on launch day, it'll be lucky to survive the 2 year mark before its shut down, 1/5th of tera's time at best.

Tera's core concept was enticing. Addiction level enticing for me, but the constant upping of the iLevel bar just to participate in fun dungeons was what killed my addiction for Tera. Too much content behind a grind wall, and I don't think I'm the only person who did not want to spend all my time running the same 2-3 dungeons on repeat for a week just to unlock the next.

I was also a lancer and yes the experience was superb, played for 9000 hours over 7 years, was a good time
