I appreciate this Sifu's take on sparring philosophy. Most martial arts sparring is based on the context of: "How good am I against my peers?" While Silat sparring is about exchanging knowledge of the art between practitioners. As someone who puts philosophy first in martial arts, I'm thankful to take this teaching from Sifu Abdur.

Actually silat comes from ( sholat ) the word prayer which means that the movement takes from the prayer movement ( sholat ), wudu,and work our daily life sometimes also mimich the movement the animal such as tiger and monkey ....
When fighting and islam there are always learning about nature..
