The kris or keris in the Indonesian and Malay languages, is an asymmetrical dagger with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron. Of Javanese origin, the kris is famous for its distinctive wavy blade, although many have straight blades as well, and is one of the weapons commonly used in the pencak silat martial art native to Indonesia, Malaysia, & Brunei.

Keris making in Indonesia, especially in Java, is very complicated, starting from determining the day, and weton also practice tirakat. Physically, the material of the keris also consists of several materials and don't forget the meteorite. thank you, greetings from Javanese people....

Making a "keris" actually requires one of the sacred processes that must be done, fasting.
Thank you so much sir.

From east Java, Mojopahit. 🙏😊

Figuratively and literally a breathtaking knife!

Your ability to manifest your creativity into such beautiful pieces and apparent deep understanding of related fields (ie. physics, chemistry, etc.) is inspiring. 👏

This kind of videos always amaze me. I find it incredible how skilled people practice this art and make any sort of weapons out of melted metals ^^
I want to make this when I grow up :0

I love to see such ancient weapon designs made in such a traditional way, with a dremmel and angle grinder. Seriously though, these are beautiful weapons, and the first time I ever saw one I thought the owner was pulling my leg when he called it Chris.
