I’m a North supporter who has listen to how tough Des Tudnam (Coll) was at dishing it out and coping it back without complaint. But I tell you what I’ve watched all of these GFs in the 1980s. Dipper (Haw) knocked out cold Kevin Walsh (ESS) in the ‘84 GF as an overweight thug. But in this ‘87 GF Dipper was elbowed straight in the head by Carlton opponent, but Dipper picked himself up to take kick without any remonstrations. Diaper you were tough but fair mate and a true champion.
