Just like fountain pens, the cost of pen storage and carry options can vary wildly. I'm sharing several reasonably priced options today for both EDC & storage. Feel free to share your favorites/suggestions in the comments.

Greetings from Australia.
Initially I bought leather roll ups but then my pen collection grew.
I visited my local Officeworks and bought a 5 drawer metal cabinet.
This was not a pen cabinet persay but I lined the drawers with non slip cutlery mat and this works perfectly. The cabinet holds about 100 pens.
I enjoyed your video.

Great video brother, thank you! I have 3 of the 48 count portfolios, filled; a 20 count portfolio, filled; and another 12 count portfolio, also filled up. My situation is that I have about 200 fountain pens. I also have the same Lihit case, but in dark gray for travel. The only difference is that, by the grace of God, I've been able to fit 18 pens in it by utilizing the rear netted pouch. I cut, round-off, and smooth the edges of flexible PVC plastic loose-leaf binder covers, and clip my pens onto it, and then put that into the netted-pouch. I also utilize corrugated plastic board, just like card-board but made out of PVC plastic instead, and as much as is possible clip pens into it, after cutting and trimming it. The the corrugated tunnels can be stretched, if necessary by passing a blow-dryer over them for about a minute or a little less. I can then put a set of pens (4-6) in a re-purposed diabetic meter case, or whatever. But you're absolutely right, re-purpose, recycle, reuse. Thanks again, God bless.

I'm just getting started, but I store my pens in leather, two-pen cases made by DiLoro and sold through Amazon. They are beautiful and I have five of them now. They are held in a stand that sits on my desk and are a pretty rainbow of loveliness. (These are for my good pens; my inexpensive Platinum Preppy's are in a wire pen cup for quick access when I'm in a hurry to jot something down.)

I have 2 of the 48 pen cases, and I love them. Both the black one you have the link to, and a brown one from Gullor (also bought on Amazon) that was a little less. Best price for these I've seen, and they're perfect for my needs. With a few in my pocket, a 36 pen cabinet my sister bought me for my birthday last year, and these, I currently have enough space for all of my pens (most recent 48 pen case isn't full, the cabinet type isn't full yet, as I'm using it for restored vintage pens), so I'm generally set.
I've been debating the Lihit one, for if and when I start needing to carry more than a few in my pocket, and I think that you've convinced me. Thanks for sharing this and God bless!

Thanks, James - love your videos, and this one too! Thanks for your continued contributions to our fountain pen obsession. I have 3 cases - a small Galen Leather 6-pen case for my current favorites, a 14-pen black leather case that no longer has any branding on it, for my next-level pens, and a 24-pen Pacmaxi canvas case for everything else. One observation for the ones you showed - I prefer to store (and especially carry) my pens in cases that ensure the pens never touch. I’ve found that just a little contact can create scratches and scuffs, especially if I store a metal pen next to a plastic or acrylic pen.

My Lihit case is the one I used to bring a selection with me to Camp Hunt. It's my go-to travel case!

Excellent topic.
A good edc bag or case is one of those little things that greatly improves your organization and makes life a lot easier.
Thanks for sharing.

I have a pen roll from Fountain Pen Revolution that I love, but I don't use it much anymore, but not due to any reasons with it. I got a Lihit ACTACT holder. I love it as it could hold about 6 or 8 pens, I usually carry 3 or 4 in and then some thumb drives, a charger cable, and headphones. Easy to take anywhere. Yes, the Lihit stuff is very durable and well worth looking at.

I use the 48 pen cases for home storage. I am on my 2nd Lihit labs case. I wore one out. The satin(?) Strap on the inside frayed and detached itself from the body of the case.

My favorite at-home pen storage option for my fountain pens is the Girologio 48 pen case in Oxblood (a very lovely and rich color). When I'm on the go, I use the Girologio 6 pen wrap (like the individual protective slots and the soft and supple leather) and the Manhattan Portage Halfzip 5-6 pen case (strong fabric material with individual slots; removed the red branding tag as it was just too large for my liking). For my inexpensive rollerballs, ballpoints, gel pens, and long writing instruments like my Blackwing pencils and Tombow Dual brush pens, I use a 9.4 x 1.8 Lihit Lab pen case (comes in a variety of colors and patterns). Thanks for the video!

I went to a cigar store and got 2 wooden flat cigar boxes with 10 "felt" slots in each. Has a latch slso. Perfect for my pen collection. They were about 5 bucks apiece.

I hate to admit it, but I have 2 of those 48 pen cases. I also have a few different 1 or 2 pen cases, mostly from Rickshaw. My go-to carry in my bag is a Nock Sinclair. Looks as good as the day I bought it 4 years ago. It holds anywhere from 3 to 6 pens, a tiny notebook, and a cheap mechanical pencil.

A 48 pen case is not ridiculous, having it filled up completely sure is. I’m on my third !!!

My pens don't leave the drawing room, where they sit upright in 4 mugs for instant access. One mug with my 17 Pilot Petit1s, filled with all my 17 inks, one mug with my Team Slender preferred pens, one with my 8 Pilot Parallels, and one with my current "palette" of pens currently inked for the current project. I also have a simple 4-pen leather sleeve that I bought in anticipation of taking a handful and a sketchbook out into the real world, but that hasn't happened yet, and won't until Norway lets us back in. My pens are tools, and lucky for me none is gorgeous enough for me to feel the need to baby it.

I store my three pens in a coffee cup on my desk in my home office. If I travel one goes in my journal's pen loop.

If I need to put them away I store them in their packaging in an old free standing Ikea craft drawer along with paper and ink and misc stationery supplies. 😉

With regard to the cardboard pen storage boxes (around 9'00" in the video), do you know what the maximum length is for a pen to fit in these slots? They seem to be on the short side.
