Ok a lil scientifical explanation on how you know you erased a snails memory.

Lets say during the last month food has been placed in the exact same spot 2 minutes after a beep sounded. The snail will at one point do the relation and move to the food even before it is there.

Now you erase his memories and do the usual bip, if he doesnt go to the food he most likely lost his memories
