I’ve got the Z2’s and I’ve tried the Bose as well. In my Z2’s at least, there isn’t any hiss from the ANC, and it actually makes the mix much clearer than with them off. The details in the music all seem to be greatly clarified as soon as it’s turned on. I would agree that as far as blocking out ambient noise the Z2’s aren’t the best, but I don’t think they are as bad as the video made them sound. Overall, I would definitely have a hard time spending $350 on a pair of headphones on which I think a $90 pair surpasses in sound quality.

Thorough comparison.  Outstanding.  For the difference in price, I'll put up with the sound degradation.  My opinion might be different if my job entailed frequent air travel. (I fly less than ten times per year.) I purchased the Z2 and am quite happy.  Keep up the good work.  Best, Tom

I have a ton of headphones. I just pulled out the Z2s for a change. I've been wearing my Linnear NC90s which are fantastic. The Z2s are way louder with punchy bass and clean mids without sharp highs. I forgot how good these are. Great video!

I like these types of comparisons. It really help, those who are on a budget, to decide which budget friendly devices are actually good. The only noticeable impressive feature about the Bose is its noise cancellation. For me, a $250 plus difference, in pricing, is just not worth it.

The Bose mic is incredible! The mic cancels out nosie backrounds. I use them at work which is very loud.

I actually have a different experience. My Treblabs Z2 are awesome. When I turn on the ANC, the bass and music get better. Maybe the one you have might not be fully new.

Treblab recently updated this model and it no longer hisses with noise cancellation on. They also now offer the option to have their logo in black so it looks a lot better than the previous version. The sound quality now seems better with noice cancelling on vs off. They're such a great value that I can't justify spending so much more on a Bose headset for the minimal advantages it has.

So does treblab have a non anc headphone for 30 bucks less but sounds as good?

7:07 that buzz is their noise cancelling. I hate that! It is like using SKUNK smell so that you don't notice the POOP smell anymore!

Appreciate the comparison. Question: since he ANC is sub par and damaging to sound quality on Treblab, how well does the fit suppress external sound? You said the sound is great without ANC. In moderate noise levels like a mall or school cafeteria can you enjoy the music still?

I've had several Bose systems in my car and home... I'm a Bose guy and I had a pair of the Bose QC35's but the Treblab Z2's sound and quality workmanship is similar to the Bose products and is amazing especially for the price... I got mine for 50 bucks because of a damaged I always tweak the sound products around with the sound quality and equalizer programs on my devices but the quality is already there with the Treblabs.... I watched some YouTube reviews on the Treblab's before I bought them and alot of the reviews noted the sound quality was on par with much more expensive products and in my opinion, it was true.... I know that some people say everyone has different tastes with sound quality but for me these are very I plan on purchasing the Treblab XR700 Wireless Earbuds also as they too have good reviews.... These go for about 40 bucks... To each there own but for me, Treblab is on to something I listen to all types of music from hard rock to classical to jazz fusion and have friends who have very high end audio products and I have been in to this stuff for going on 50 years I'm just sayin.... ;-)

I have the Z2 head phones. I love them and think for the price they are hands down the best value. Great video btw. I like the way you break down the comparisons, very professional and easy to follow

So this is a weird question, but I have a small head and lots of headphones look weird af on my head. Are these relatively small?

Great review man! I just had my power beats3 wireless totally crap out and I could not be any more mad... I have the bose QC35 and was wanting to get a workout headphone and think this will work out perfectly with the cheaper pair!

My daughter has the Bose and I have the Teblab Z2. The noise cancellation is spot on with the bass, but it works rather well, with no hiss (on mine at least), but as far as sound quality, I kinda like my Treblabs. Will I upgrade? Probably. I have had them for about two years and maybe upgrade to the Z3 soon.
