"I didn't know my own strength/ And I crashed down and I tumbled, but I did not crumble/ I got through all the pain, I didn't know my own strength..."

"I Didn't Know My Own Strength" is song performed by American R&B-pop singer Whitney Houston, taken from her seventh studio album I Look to You (2009). The song was written by award-winning writer Diane Warren and produced by David Foster, both of whom have written and produced for Houston before. The song was originally supposed to precede the album's UK release on August 31, 2009 and U.S. release on September 1, 2009 but was cancelled in favor of "I Look to You" and "Million Dollar Bill".

She’s so missed. Such a genuine talent.

Being able to do it after years of drug and alcohol abuse, and also after “losing her voice”, just proves that we will never see anything close to this woman. There’ll never be another. I get in tears every single time I watch it.

When I saw her that evening I was like, Lord thank you, my girl is back. Not for a long, but I don't judge choices, I just say thank you God for every time when she touched our souls and hearts. Greatest diva of all times.

Whitneys voice at her worst (after years of drug abuse etc) is better than most of today's singers best

She looks and sounds so beautiful. I remember the night she died. I came home from skating and my son said Whitney Houston died Ma And I couldn’t believe what he was telling me. This song is so powerful. I’m listening to it crying And I am realizing my own strength. Thank you Whitney. SIP Beautiful Soul

This makes me cry. In her voice you can hear her struggle, resolution and her dream. And every one in that room was rooting for her! The love and respect was palpable.

The world got to see one more time what true singing looks like. No costumes, no dancing, no lip syncing. Just the pure power of a voice blessed by god and delivered from the soul.

Ive never been disappointed in any Whitney performance, we all know she had her battles, but no matter what, whether it sounded amazing or not, it always was delivered with heart. She bore her soul and praised God with her voice. To The people that comment on here with hate or negativety saying omg what a shame she ruined her gift/voice, newsflash she's gone! People like yall are part of the reason she isnt with us. Whitney was amazing, she was 100 all the time. She was the greatest voice of our generation but even more amazing than that she used her celebrity status to Praise God and minister to people across the globe. To the haters, after you leave a negative comment about Whitney who always Put God first no matter what, do you feel better for attacking someone who's biggest crime was just being human?!
