A few years ago, my high school show choir danced to this song for our show. It was a smaller school, so we knew each other rather well in my grade, since we'd grown up together in a smaller class size.
Recently, a girl from my grade past away. Of course, I wasn't her best friend or anything, but I'd known her my whole life. We shared a youth and experiences. And she was just gone. It was a hollow, empty feeling.
So listening to this again was a rather... somber experience. It's a great song, but without the music there's just that colder part that hits me, and reminds me of her. If I close my eyes, sometimes it seems like nothing's changed at all, huh.
