My cats have tended to switch day time napping locations, but sleep with me every night. Cat habits are fascinating to watch.

I read a story where a guy got up in the morning but couldn’t find his cat. He searched for hours and began thinking the cat got out somehow. He later found him asleep in a wok on top of the frig.

I had a cat that would steal my spot on the couch or chair when I would get up

I have 2 Cats. 1 of them has exactly 5 spots she changes some what frequently during the day. My other cat has at least ten spots. She pretty much stays in one spot all day then changes every few days. Funny how cats can be so different yet the same:)

My cat will sleep with me every night, and will sleep in my sleep spot on the bed during the day.

My cats challenge each other for a certain chair. I have a baby blanket over the cushion. When I wash the blanket, neither of them will sleep there for a while. I guess because the scent has been washed away. My female cat kicks my male cat out of several of his sleeping spots. He walks away with a look of disgust on his face. I already had her for almost 6 years before I got him as a kitten. He's now 12 and she's almost 18. She still let's him know whose boss ! 😀

My cat changed sleeping areas with the seasons somehow she knew every fall to sleep on my husband’s lazy boy chair in winter then in spring moved to a bedroom. She did it about 2 weeks prior to the time change.

The best way to learn about cat behaviour is observing your cat(s). Of course You Tube channels like this one are very helpful too, I've learned some things on the internet. But learning from your own experience with your cats stays longer & stronger in your brain than reading, watching etc. I think/ hope that Senior Cat Wellness agrees.
Of course not everybody has the time to study their cats. And it is great there are videochannels like these, for if you are not sure. So thank you S.C.W. I did learn some thinges extra here!

My cat likes to sleep in the spot where the hallway crosses with the entryway, that way she can see everyone coming and going and also be totally in the way.

Also cats getting lost? I can remember years I was delivering an item I had sold on a website and agreed to delivery for a fee as the two areas were around fifty miles apart and the buyer was unable to collect, so like I say for a fee I agreed to deliver it, during the delivery (a small amount of time) a cat managed to get in my car (immediately unnoticed) but as I was driving home during the journey I noticed something in the corner of my eye and soon as safe as possible I pulled over only to find a cat in my car! Luckily the cat had a collar with owner’s details and I was able to get the cat returned to the owner, but I wonder how many cats get lost simply by getting on a vehicle unnoticed and simply get lost

Or, as we used to say to our cat, "Aww, did that nasty old sun MOVE?"

I take a dog/cat carrier and remove the door. I place it up high on a double dresser I have. It’s about...well it is up higher than me and I’m 6’6. I put a blank it inside and a beach towel over the top and side holes. I leave the front open. It is like a little cave. She loves it. The carrier is 18 inches high 24 wide and a depth of 30 inches. Do you think this is a good hiding and sleeping spot?

Thanks! I have come calling it "Kitty Migration" My Senior migrates every 3 to 4 months to one of about 6 locations (that I know of) She does have a "main base of operations", but will still do her migration when she gets "The Call". \m/

My cat is getting up in age. We bought a set of stairs to make it easier for her to get up on a spare bed where she always slept. She also had a little cat house on the bed that she would sleep in, and she could also look out a window from the bed.
She did not like the stairs and would not use them to get up on the bed. We tried enticing her to try using the steps by using greats, but she would not use them and has now quit sleeping up on this spare bed.
What a brat cat she is!

To find out how much a person knows about cats and living with cats I ask them one question. This question will tell me whether or not they truly know cats. Do you wanna know what that question is?

Your attempt at the cliché "Newscaster Rhythm" is pretty funny.
