Practicing neurolinguistic programming is crucial to developing your skills and creating unconscious competence. There are many ways to practice, but In my opinion the first thing to get down is the language model.

You will need to learn how to "tune up" your ears to listen for language violations such as generalizations, distortions, and deletions, and challenging them with the appropriate questions in the meta-model.

Watching the news with intention to hear them, playing language games with friends, and also doing internal association practice are all great ways for how to practice NLP.
