Doug's work here with Dio is quite possibly one of the best examples of a "Hired Gun Guitar Player" (Doug Aldrich) stepping in and OWNING material like it was all his own. Doug is on top of all this music and never stumbles or plays catch up on the lead breaks... he is all over this and it helps to showcase RJD in the very best possible light!

Doug Aldrich is a Consummate Professional, and "Don't Talk to Strangers" @ 32.45 is a perfect example of his level of comfort with the material.

I've heard Doug's playing described as "Monotonous and Machine Like" and "Lacking in Soul and Feeling". You be the judge of those comments for yourself, I personally like his style of guitar playing. Lots of style and feeling!

perfect concert, i saw this excact concert in 2002 and 2003 in las vegas, the first concert was dio, deep purple, scorpions the 2nd concert was hammerfall, kings x, dio, they where both great concerts it was for the killing the dragon tour album, which by the way is a real good dio album.
