This was a very food heavy day as we explored the city with our Austin local friend, Josh, who showed us his favorite hangout spots in Austin, TX. b/c It reminds me of my childhood when Austin was barely blowing up. Breaks my heart that Austin sadly became too expensive for a lot of us natives💔, but glad that at least it’s getting the recognition it always deserved 512 till I die❤️🤘🏼

Yay, it’s “Hot Nashville Chicken” guy! Him eating that chicken sandwich was the funniest thing ever! I remember Chris saying “Are you going to pass out”. He looked like he was about to. lol Poor guy! Food looks delicious! You guys definitely made up for having to eat a burger on Thanksgiving! Enjoy!

You have to get outside of Austin. Salt Lick was mentioned. You also need to have Round Rock Donuts. And Texas BBQ is really smoked and brisket is the best.

As an Austinite for 10 years IMO virtually any BBQ place here is really good ( I don’t like standing in line very long). Every town/city has its unique vibe/character.

Just north of the UT football stadium on Red River is the Austin staple "The Posse East"...home of the best greasy cheeseburger in Austin....Seriously.

You should get a t-shirt and where it back home and people will just see st. Elmo and ask where it is before they see the Austin, Texas lol. For those that don't know there is a st. elmo back here in Chattanooga, TN.
