Thank God you tried these in the best possible way…from a roadside stand in the middle of Nowhere, USA, served from a homemade boiler by a kindly old southern gentleman.

I turned a buddy onto these and now he can’t get enough of them! Dude boils his own peanuts now and introduces them to other people.

A Southern delicacy! It’s actually easiest to eat them if you crack them open with your teeth and dump them in your mouth

My favorite snack. Grew up with them in NC and SC, if you get a chance and fancy a little kick some places’ Cajun flavor is phenomenal

Finally. I knew y'all would love them lol. A boiled peanut brings back so many memories for me. We always stopped for alligator jerky and boiled peanuts when we were leaving Florida, coming back to GA. They have atleast 25 side of the road stands selling all kinds of lil trinkets and boiled peanuts. I'm really happy that this was what yall got so excited over. ❤

Boiled peanuts originated in Western Africa where its still a popular snack to this day. When the slaves were brought to America peanuts were all a lot of them were given because at the time Peanuts were considered livestock feed and pauper food. They then boiled the peanuts like they did back home and thus we still enjoy them in the south to this day. It never really caught on up north because we didn't have nearly as high of a black population at the time so it was never an ingrained food item.

These in general my favorite snack you have to try them to understand. But to those who don’t know it’s equal to a boiled bean basically and just tastes like it’s seasoning usually spicy and or salty
