Yeah unfortunately, the same thing happened to me when I was 16, some friends I looked up to, laced their weed with angel dust and didn't tell me, my friend and I thought it was regular weed and smoked it, I went blind for about two minutes, I passed out, I couldn't walk for about ten minutes, I fell down a hill, that was about 20 feet high and wrapped around a fallen tree from a storm, fortunately their wasn't any branches sticking out that I could've been impaled on and I haven't been right ever since, the doctors were never able to diagnose me with anything, but they think it destroyed my nerves, so now I feel pain shoot throughout my whole body everyday and this has been going on for 25 years, I'm just now sort of coming out of whatever this is I've been going through and I feel blessed to have at least come out of it, because I know people who've never come out of it, the result from all of this happening, I started to have panic attacks, I was ocd, schizophrenic, I was seeing things, I was anti social and suicidal, I actually thought I was the devil, but prayer, humility, faith and reading and believing in the bible, I was able to slowly recover, I'm not fully their yet, how I use to be, but it could be worse, I'm just glad I'm well enough to tell my story

Listen matt bro. This guy was so fucking gifted in basketball it’s no surprise he needs help. I watched how he toyed with guys in one on one . He was also great in five on five and could have forced a 50 point average a game until teams started to trap. He’s the artist we all wondered how in the fuck did he paint that with no brush and only using his pinky toe, and it becomes a masterpiece forever. I work in management at a substance abuse/mental health facility, and just kind of feel the need to step in and comment truth/non-truth about some things that you said about mental health disorders, substance abuse and overall just want to have a conversation about this specific issue. Non-confrontational, non-argumentative, just to kind of explain some things on a more clear level. You should let me do a podcast with you or something to post to people so they have more context about this specific athlete/topic and what's going on.

This happened to some of my childhood friends. Hit the wrong stuff and never been the same since and they were almost always AMAZINGLY bright ppl too! It’s a sad reality. All we can do now is hope that someone with the resources decides to help him bc most families don’t have them

Listen Matt, understand that first I love your content I love how you produce so consistently but, what type of attention and the comments you make on Zion is kind of inconsiderate… first off the majority do smoke and drink, so it’s not like you are just throwing your life away by doing drugs in moderation. Just look at the Warriors rn after the championship. Second you don’t understand what that boy is going through and as far as I’m concerned he’s getting better.. he’s back hooping and training he just needs a couple of months in therapy and training before he plays.
