I'm graduating highschool in 2025 (hopefully because italian final highschool exam kinda feels like the Hunger Games 🙃) and going to med school. I'm so exited. I've read so many italian classics this year and it was amazing even if some were for school. My last book of 2024 was the first book of Heartstopper, it was such a nice and fluffy read.

Hey Khalilah girl. I totally relate to not being able to voice opinions as a child growing up in a black household. My parents are West Indian so often speaking up came with a back hand across the face. I applaud you for speaking on this topic because it is one of those things that are not talked enough about in our community and it should because for me personally, as an adult I see how it negatively impacted my ability to confidently express myself to certain people. Now that I am a mom however to a non verbal child, I still try to consider and honor her forms of communication so that she feels heard and knows that her voice matters. 🫶

I basically started reading ( reading as a hobby ) during 2023, and even with that, i barely read. 🥲 But last year, I actually managed to read 10 books, which even though it seems like not a lot ( it really is not ), it's a lot for me. 😅 My reading goal for this year is 25 books!!! I just discovered your channel. My last book of 2024 was Revenge of the Spellmans by Lisa Lutz. It is book three in the Spellman Files series. If you haven't read this series I think you would like it. The main character (Izzy) and her whole family are quite quirky and the plots are amazing.

My last book was, The Phone booth at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messina. I really loved it and it made me look at grief a different way. My goal is to read more international authors, and English translated books. I can't stop thinking about Convenience Store Woman for example. Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. I never thought there was a bad Christmas book. I still can’t believe how fast 2024 flew by and how it’s already January 5 2005. I buy all of my Christmas gifts by the end of November. 😮😅
