When i did this swap, to run fuel pump, i just grabbed a pink wire with the black tracer (several to choose from) that is keyed power and ran it to the fuel pump relay in place of the green wire with white tracer and it works pefect.

Fucking thank you. someone finally shows the right way to do this

You can use a remote tps sensor and use whatever you want for a carb.

i did the swap on my 93 suburban 350 back in may been driving it to work everyday ..had to adjust and change a few things but its going very well my only issue is i wasnt sure where to set my timing its currently set at 12 degrees BTDC with no vacuum could be wrong but it runs fine with good power starts right up tranny shifts like normal and runs cool even with ac blasting ...i did this all myself from start to finish so i can surely give some answers to any questions if needed ..i used the holly carb tps bracket. edelbrock intake. holly fuel regulator set at 7psi and a new stock distributor i got all my parts from summit i was scared to death to try this change but once all the wiring made sense to me it was nothing

Watch for the red wire that runs power to the old tbi injectors. That is the power to the ecm. I cut mine not knowing so I had to run a new wire

Howdy, I heard you say that you couldn't find any carb with a throttle position sensor other than holley. You know the q-jets that gm usedin the 80s had them, and those were good reliable carbs.

got question for you ....i just rebuild my chevy 350 1990 k5 blazer i converted it over from tbi to carb ..i did a few up grade on the engine high performance intake headers 3' pipes all way back up graded the cam to a howard rattler cam 525 intake lift 535 exhaust duration 227/235 lobe separation 109 center line 103 i still the same factory heads on there i believe they the swirl port heads ..i no i should have went with some better heads but the engine was already done. i put a brand new 1406 edelbrock carb on it right out the box every sence i put that carb on there i been using alot of fuel i set the carb best as posible ..im using a awful lot of fuel just with it iding..i have my pressure regulator set at 5psi..dont no why im losing so mush fuel

Thanks for showing this. I just bought a 94 with about 387, 000 on the entire harness is hacked beyond belief; replacement will cost about $700 or between $300 and $1300 to refurbish. That alone negates keeping TBI. Did you have to do anything special to keep cruise or just the new bracket? All gauges work?

I have a 94 GMC Sierra 1500 long bed with a 4.3. it's automatic and had a 4l60e trans. Had to put a trans in it when I got it, which I actually drugg it out of a field after it sat for 7 years, lol. So the trans went out again, exploded the 3/4 clutch pack, so I decided to try what many online said was gonna be so difficult. I put a completely nonelctronic 700r4 in it. After figuring out what I needed to it was really pretty simple. I didn't hookup the lockup because it's not needed. And ran a detent cable and ghetto rigged a stub in the throttle body plate using a bolt and two nuts and I was done. It takes driving for almost a half hour for the engine light to even kick and when I turn off the switch and restart I have no light. So I have a 350 on the engine stand that I'm gonna build and I was thinking about trying the next step and putting a fully carburated 350 in it. Any advice? And a tip for folks watchin this video. If you've done a trans swap to a nonelctronic trans like me then u can run any carb u want because you will no longer need the tps sensor because your gas pedal will now be linked to your transmission via the detent cable you installed. So goodbye TPS. Just a tip.

I have a 2000 Tahoe and I used a computer controlled quadajet 4 barrel carb and used the tps that's built into the carb. I just need to figure out what wire I need to send tach signal to for the trans to shift

You don't actually have to have a throttle position sensor I've run old quadrajets and I've run Edelbrock on the same truck and as far as a pressure regulator you can just run a tee off from the existing fuel line run one line of that tea to the input of your car run the other one back to your tank and then between the t in the fuel tank on the return line at a hose clamp tighten that hose clamp until your carburetor gets the right amount of fuel you can let the truck sit there and run and slowly pinch that line off until I get too much fuel and then slowly loosen the clamp back up until you get the perfect and then you're all set to go these trucks are so easy to convert just got to run that wire to turn on that fuel pump and a hose clamp works for a great pressure regulator all you need is a carburetor adapter plate or carburetor intake a piece of gas line or use the existing return line a hose clamp and maybe a short piece of wire it's so cheap and simple it's not funny it took my dad almost two years to figure out how to do this back before it was a popular mod but he's just a backyard mechanic I looked at it for 10 minutes and figured it out and he drove his truck like that for the last 6 years and then I helped him do the same thing to his best friend's truck if he's been driving his truck for the last 5 years I put a factory quadrajet on my dad's and I put an Edelbrock 600 on his buddies truck
