I press the switch to start laptime and the dash gives me a L01 erro... dosent Start count

Hi, I've been reading through the manual re the track timers. I have mine set to display current run and best lap and the manual says long-press trip 1 to pause timer and then the flasher to stop the timer and reset to zero but when I do this, it merely displays the paused run time for a few seconds and then starts timing another lap - clearly an error in the manual. Have you sussed out how to "stop" the lap timer rather than merely pause it??
